KNOW YOUR FACE SHAPE
What type of a face shape are you? Different face shape suits different type of eyebrow shape.
For example :
Oval Face Shape:-
Known to be the most ideal shape. The perfect brow shape is considered to be the soft angled eyebrow shape. The soft angled shape goes straight up and then gently curves round at the top and down.
Round Face Shape :-
The main aim is to make the face appear more longer. Create a high arch. Look for a brow shape that follows a straight line to the peak of the brow, and creates more vertical lines. Avoid rounded brow shape as it makes the face more rounder. You may prefer a angled brow shape for it.
Long Face Shape :-
The main aim is to make the face appear shorter. A flat brow shape is more suitable thus drawing a horizontal line that stop the eye moving up and down the face. It’s horizontal shape helps to make the face appear shorter.
Square Face Shape :-
The main aim is to balance the jaw structure with a strong brows or soften it with curves. Stronger, thicker and shape balances a heavier jawline. The defined sharp peak at the top of the brow helps makes the brow appear stronger. Angled brows create this balance to the face shape.
Heart Shape Face :-
The main aim is to soften the look with curves, thus rounded brow shape suits it. The curve of the brow is soft, feminine and attractive, it also defines the face shape. The low arch rounded brow creates a natural look, while the high arched brow can add length to a shorter heart shaped face or gives a dramatic look.
Diamond Face Shape :-
The main aim is to make the face appear less wide with the soft angles on the brows, thus a curved brow shape suits it. A curved brow covers the widest portion of the face, making the face appear less wide than before.
HOW TO START SHAPING IT
- Start with the inner edge of the brow. The brow must be lined up with your nostril to get the exact shape hold a pencil parallel to the side of the bridge of the nose.
- Brush the inner edge with a brow brush or an old mascara wand. Brush upwards and any hair that stands longer than your natural hair line must be trimmed.
- Highest point of your brow is the arch. To determine the arch, hold the pencil diagonally from the nostril to the outer corner of the iris of the eye.
- To mark where your brow should end hold the pencil like how you did it for the arch. Align it diagonally from the nostril to the outer corner of the eye. These are known as the three points of your eyebrows. Mark these points with a brow pencil and start tweezing, threading or waxing.
